Today, I learnt about “Procedure” that was how something is done. The procedure consisted goal, materials, method. Began hour with a professor gave the students who wrote our favorite food ingredients and how to cook it. Everybody wrote it. For my favorite food, I chose papaya salad because there are sour, salt and spicy tastes. Then, I did exercises. The first exercise, match each sentence with the correct picture. It was about how to cook omelet. The pictures in the exercise wasn’t clearly that was difficult do it. A last exercise was easy. This article wrote about Learning a Second Language. I understood it and did to easy.

          Finally, A professor distributed addition sheets about the procedure and described to our.

Today I learnt Discourse Markers was special class. I learnt descriptive text that is a text which says what a person, a thing or a place is like. Teacher had our all 3 text.

The first text, it was Komodo dragon (Varanus Komodoensis) that is a giant monitor lizard found in Komodo Island. It can grow up to 3 to 4 meters in length and run at the speed of up to 24 kilometers per hour. It is very big and run very fast. Young Komodo’s feed is insect and small lizards. For adult komodo’s feed is bigger animal such as pigs, goats, deer, young buffaloes, and horses. Then, I did exercises A and B. The exercise A is answering the questions from the text. For the exercise B is matching each word with the correct meaning. Last, answering the keys.

The second text, It was Budapest where is capital in the Hungary. In 1873, the site was home to two separate towns was Buda and Pest. Now it is Budapest. There are many tourist attraction in the Budapest

           Finally, I attempted to do the best this story. I intended to read for taking an exam.

Today, I learnt Discourse Markers. Begin at, Dr. Usa checked homework of students but someone didn't it. She assigned everyone wrote down it in a paper for sending and gave time around 10 minutes. Next, we learnt secret part two continue. I read this story didn't understand so I read several time and joined group for consulting.

Summary

           
           In part one, she was happy when her parent was away home because she shared her secret with hen. She found the well. She was forbidden to lift the lid due to. It was dangerous. Some afternoon she saw pictures in photo album and missed her father.

           In part two, she is mental disorder child because she killed some hen and chicks by putting them into a cardboard box and dropping them down the well. Then, she cried. She took her photograph and cut off her head by a pair of scissors.

The most important of short story in my opinion.

1)   Neglect

As the result of the most parents ignore their children. They don’t 

give warmth and loving to their children. It also affect to mind of children. So; if you were parents, you should take care the best them.

2)   Children’s right

Parents shouldn’t enforce some children too much. The children should get free and play to indulge theirs.

3)   The need for security

Parents have to take care, give loving and warmth to the children. 

You must nurture theirs for good children. An example; when they play at the playground. You should take care their with closing up.

Some things in this short story seem to have a rather mysterious but powerful symbolic quality. With a few other students, talk about these things
     - the eggs
        In my view, the eggs mean Kylie's the secret.
     - the well
        In my view, the well means this story's mysterious.
     - the photos
        In my view, the photos mean the family's the relationship.
     - Kylie's cutting of the photo
        In my view, Kylie's cutting of the photo means Kylie's the hopeless and sad.

        Finally, if I were Kylie, I kept a roaster, a hen and chicks. Even though I didn't get warmth from my parents but I have them for being my friends.
   

The secret

         Today was Sunday. I had to learn Discourse marker that was extra class. I learned several stories and did practice. Next, I learned new sheets “secret by Tim Winton”. This story was about secret when we were child. There was game was circle and listed thing that we behave when we were child. There were position write down point since 1-6. When I played game finished. Brought our pattern compare with our friends. Then, I read secret story in part one. It was about secret of one girl who had secret with her mother and her step father. When I read to finish in part one, I did practice but it wasn’t finish so brought back to do homework.

Feeling of day

           I felt good because teacher tried to describe to students understand but we was hard to understand. It created impression for me.

       Today is Monday. I had to learn Discourse Markers subject with Dr. Usa Noytim. The first, Teacher answered key exercise Next, I learnt about recount continue from yesterday. There were An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens story and another. Each story had exercise to us practice. We did exercise together. Finally, a professor has our homework done. She described to write event and algorithm.

         Today is Sunday. I learn Discourse Markers with Dr. Usa Noytim at 8.30 am. It was extra class. Today I learnt Recount that had 3 types. The first type is Personal Recount. The second type is Factual Recount. And last type is Imaginative. And I learnt text organisation and language feature. In my view, I thought that it wasn't too difficult to understand. It is about that “who, what, where, when” and conjunction. There are stories about the ceremony of Indonesian.

A discourse Approach in Reading

Course Introduction

         Today is first day of learning. I woke up 6.00 am and have to learn at 8.30 am. with Dr. Usa Noytim. I met her again. Last year, she taught Writing for Communication subject. This year,she teach A discourse Approach in Reading subject. She is still beautiful and is not old. She is still remembering us. She started Course Introduction and taught discourse markers. Discourse marker have 8 type that is addition, comparison, contrast, cause, effect,example,definition and problem-solution. She give exercise to us and practice in classroom. Before went back, she has us homework done.

    

           I feel glad that learn with her. This time, she is informally with everybody.

For Writing for Communication class, I learn about as follows.

        - Unit 10 Completing Forms

        - Unit 11 Small  Advertisements

        - Unit 12 Itineraries

Benefits of  Writing for Communication subject : I get many knowledge from this subject such as I can write to send Postcards, fill in detail Completing Forms, plan Itineraries,etc. I get experience from writing Diaries.

And I can bring knowledge for apply in every day life.

Problem of  Writing for Communication subject : I have many defective. Sometimes I can't remember vocabulary. Maybe I mistake word order. And Teacher order many work. ^_^" Sometimes I unable to do work.

Attitudes of  Writing for Communication subject : I like to learn this subject because this subject about grammar. I love grammar. This subject cause to know about many abbreviation,  principle of writing and etc.

I am happy that learn Writing for Communication class.

            Today was last day for Writing for Communication subject. It began exam. I take a exam about Telephone Messages, Itinerary, Requests and Invitations. The exam all 1 hour. Then, I finished exam. There are present Trip Itinerary of each group. There were all 10 group. 

Such as 

         - Group 1 Present Itinerary about Surat Thani.

         - Group 2 Present Itinerary about Krabi.

         - Group 3 Present Itinerary about Bangkok.

         - Group 4 Present Itinerary about Prachuap Khiri Khan. 

         - etc.

I listened each group present. They worked excellent. Until reach queue of our group.  My friends and I were group 8. We felt worry about work was not good but Everything was good. We felt to be relieved.

           Yesterday, I learned about how to writing Itineraries. Teacher ordered us do practice. I wrote trip itinerary in Thailand for summer. 

Finally, she ordered to find trip itinerary to work groups and work single to homework.

             Yesterday, I learned about how to writing Requests.  It was interesting because I learned many new knowledge. Then teacher ordered to write notes and passed my classmates 10 people. Then my classmates answered back to me. Finally,she ordered to find information about further studying to homework.

              Today, I studied about telephone messages again. Teacher taught more understandable to us. She ordered work in groups of three people. She ordered to do practice that we found conversations. Then we typed to friends saw on projector. Finally, She answered question.

                     Yesterday, I studied lesson 9 Invitation again.    Teacher ordered my friends and me told what did you do on New Year. Then she taught how writing invitation card and did practice. The end of hour, My friends and I was surprised by her. She quizzed us. WOW!!! 0_o"
